I had been fine tuning the original mixture to make it for the taste of my family. I must mention that it was an incredible success. They enjoyed the flavor, the consistency and enjoyed getting a sweet such as this in the midst of a hectic workweek. They ultimately requested more, more and more. I love cookies, I’ve sometimes written a book, Smart Cookie , about cookies! Among my all time favorite cookies is an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. I really like the combo of the chewy structure you obtain from the oatmeal and the delicious richness of the chocolate potato chips. I also love what a versatile cookie base an oatmeal cookie is normally, as possible made with chocolate potato chips, raisins, butterscotch potato chips, nuts, dried fruits, there are so many options!
While most cookie recipes call for in regards to a cup of butter, I’ve lightened up BHG’s Oatmeal Cookie recipe by replacing a number of the butter with Mott’s Applesauce. They are NOT gluten free cookies. Whole wheat flour still has gluten within it. Could these be made with grain flour?
